We thank our outgoing Ottawa Area ISD School Board Vice President John Siemion for his years of dedicated service. The leadership, commitment, and vision shown by John has created a legacy of educational opportunities for all Ottawa Area students. We appreciate your commitment to serving public education and helping to create the strong, vibrant, educational community that sets Ottawa Area ISD apart from the rest.
Siemion served 22 years on the Grand Haven Area Public Schools Board of Education, six years on the OAISD Board of Education and four years on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Association of School Boards. He retired from JSJ Corporation in 2012 and said this upcoming retirement would be the most impactful for him. He currently serves as OAISD Board Vice President.

Holland, MI-Careerline Tech Center (CTC) invites all area 8th-11th grade students, parents and other community members to the annual Open House event on Tuesday, October 24 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Twenty-nine career programs will be open to tour, and teachers will be present to speak with parents and students about the benefits of career/technical education including how to earn college credit, fulfill high school credit requirements, and gain real-world job experience while enrolled.
