TWO STUDENTS WIN FIRST PLACE AWARDS AT 4-H COMPETITION DURING SUMMER LEARNING

Holland, MI- Ottawa Area Intermediate School District's (OAISD) Careerline Tech Center  (CTC) Agricultural and Animal Science students Reeanna Etts  and Danika Laangstra won first place awards in the Market Class category at the Ottawa County Fair 4-H/FFA competition Monday, July 22-27 in Holland.

CAREERLINE TECH STUDENT WINS NATIONAL COMPETITION

Holland, MI- Careerline Tech Center (CTC) Diesel and Heavy Equipment program student and recent home school graduate Ben DeVries was named National Champion in the Diesel Equipment Technology competition at the 2019 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference held June 24-28 in Louisville, Kentucky.

CAREERLINE TECH CENTER STUDENT PLACES IN TOP FIVE IN NATIONAL HEALTH CAREERS COMPETITION

Holland, MI- Tylee Knieper, recent Careerline Tech Center (CTC) Dental Careers student and Grand Haven High School graduate, placed fifth in the Dental Science competition at the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) International Leadership Conference at the Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida June 19-22.

JUVENILE JUSTICE INSTITUTE STUDENTS GRADUATE, LOOK FORWARD TO FUTURE

HOLLAND, MI – Seven students from the Juvenile Justice Institute (JJI), a court-based educational program operated in partnership between the Ottawa Area ISD and the 20th Circuit Court – Juvenile Court, received high school diplomas from New Options High School (Allendale Public Schools) and The Dunes Alternative High School (West Ottawa Public Schools) during a graduation ceremony on Wednesday, June 5, 2019.

STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS HOOK FISH, LEARN WATER SAFETY DURING CHARTER FISHING EXCURSION

Holland, MI- Four Ottawa Area Center (OAC) students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) recently enjoyed a day of learning on Lake Michigan while charter fishing with their instructors thanks to the generosity of Powderhorn Sport Fishing and the Grand Rapids chapter of Safari Club International members who donated their time and services.
