OTTAWA AREA ISD TECHNOLOGY EMPLOYEES RECEIVE AWARDS FOR ASSISTANCE WITH STATEWIDE DATA PROGRAMS

Holland, MI-Ottawa Area ISD Technology Services/Enterprise Data Systems teams recently received two awards from Michigan Data Hub, a collaborative, statewide effort that addresses challenges in managing and using school data.

TECH CENTER STUDENT NAMED WINNER IN LOCAL LOGO CONTEST

Holland, MI- Hopper Miller, Graphic Design student at Careerline Tech Center (CTC) and Spring Lake High School junior, designed the winning logo for the West Michigan Student Showcase 2020, an annual celebration of excellence for high school youth of West Michigan held at the Frauenthal Center in Muskegon.

Students with Special Needs Receive Visit from Santa

The Holland Junior Welfare League (HJWL) and Santa visited the Ottawa Area Center Tuesday, December 3 bringing personalized gifts and Christmas cheer to students aged 3-26 with special needs.

GOVERNOR REAPPOINTS OAISD EMPLOYEE TO MICHIGAN PREK-12 LITERACY COMMISSION

Holland, MI- Kyle Mayer, Ph.D., assistant superintendent for Instructional Services at Ottawa Area ISD, has been reappointed for another two-year term on the Michigan PreK-12 Literacy Commission. The term commences November 1, 2019 and expires October 31, 2023.

CAREERLINE TECH CENTER ALUMNUS PLACES THIRD IN WORLDWIDE COMPETITION

Ryan Meppelink, former Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanics program student at Careerline Tech Center and Zeeland East High School graduate, won a bronze medal in Heavy Vehicle Technology at the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 competition in Kazan, Russia on August 27.
