CAREERLINE TECH CENTER OFFERS SUMMER CAREER CAMP FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS

Holland, MI- Nearly 400 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students are exploring future career options in a safe, fun and hands-on learning environment during Career Camp at Careerline Tech Center through Friday, June 18.

TECH CENTER STUDENTS, COMMUNITY SUPPORT STUDENT FIGHTING CANCER

Holland, MI- This spring, students in the Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanics program at Careerline Tech Center learned a great deal about motor repair and replacement while working on the vehicle of a classmate undergoing cancer treatment, but what they learned through “giving back” was an especially impactful life lesson on helping others.

UNIQUE SUMMER PROGRAM OFFERS REAL-WORLD WORK EXPERIENCE TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Holland, MI- High school students can gain real-world work experience and scholarship opportunities through Ottawa Area Intermediate School District’s (OAISD) futurePREP’d IChallengeU program July 12 – 23. The two-week-long summer learning program pairs students with mentor teachers and local businesses and organizations for a unique, hands-on learning opportunity.

STUDENTS LEARN IMPORTANT SAFETY LESSONS THROUGH PARTNERSHIP WITH OTTAWA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

Holland, MI-Students at Sheldon Pines School (SPS), a service of Ottawa Area ISD, built relationships with law enforcement officers and learned safety skills thanks to a partnership between Ottawa Area ISD and the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department through the Teaching Education And Mentoring (T.E.A.M.) School Liaison Program.

CTC STUDENTS PRACTICE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SKILLS WITH LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT

Holland, MI- Students in the Emergency Medical Services program at Careerline Tech Center, a service of Ottawa Area Intermediate School District, received hands-on training in vehicle extrication thanks to partnerships with the Olive Township Fire Department and Holland Towing on May 17.
