OAISD Board Appoints Dr. Cooley to Open Seat During a regularly scheduled meeting last week, members of the Ottawa Area ISD Board of Education unanimously voted to appoint Dr. Richard Cooley as an interim Board member to fill an open seat.
OAISD Announces Passing of Long-time, Beloved Board Member On January 28, Ottawa Area ISD lost Mr. Ron Eding, a beloved and dedicated Board of Education member, who passed away after a period of illness and hospitalization.

      Topic:  Accessing Resources through Disability Network Lakeshore (DNL) and Brief Overview of Benefits for Young Adults with a Disability

      Presenters:  Kristin Myers and Angela Mitchell – Disability Network Lakeshore

      Description: Disability Network Lakeshore is a local non-profit agency serving individuals and businesses in Ottawa and Allegan counties. This session will consist of an introduction to the five core services that Disability Network Lakeshore focuses on, and how that correlates to the mission which is to connect people with disabilities to resources and opportunities while building communities where everyone can participate, contribute, and belong. During the second portion of the program, participants will be provided information on federal and state benefits for young adults with disabilities and how benefits are impacted by employment. In addition, ABLE Accounts, Special Needs Trusts, and Social Security and Age 18 Redeterminations will be discussed.
