Our Schools Are In Financial Crisis Congress has spent over $2 trillion in federal stimulus dollars to support critical sectors of our economy during the global COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, less than 1% went to public education. Congress is considering cutting funding for schools by up to $700 per student which would result in significant cuts to programs, student support services, and staff. Michigan schools will need an additional $3 to $5 billion over the next three years to fill the significant gap in education funding. Please consider signing a petition and/or writing a letter to Congress to help our schools, our students, and the future of our country.
