Direct Credit

Careerline Tech Center students have the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. It gives students a head credit for high school classes. Early college credit is actual college credit earned while in the Environmental & Agricultural Sciences program. The credit appears on a college transcript and can be transferred to many colleges and universities throughout Michigan. A significantly reduced fee is charged for each college class. Classes offered for early college credit are taken through Lake Michigan College and Muskegon Community College.

Articulated Credit

Davenport University (3 general credits)
GVSU - NRM - Introduction to Natural Resources (3 credits)
Lake Superior State University: EVRN103/104 Environmental Science (4 cr)
NRES107 - Field Biology (3cr)

Articulated credit is credit that a specific college/university grants for classes taken at Careerline Tech Center. Credit is posted to a transcript after the student has completed a certain number of classes at the college or university. There is no charge for articulated credit and it generally cannot be transferred from one college to another.
