Membership
Membership
Committee membership is generated by the program instructor and represents a cross-section of businesses. Members must have first-hand experience in the specific occupational area or may bring experience from a related aspect of the program such as post-secondary education, local school staff, or others. Members are asked to participate in committee functions which will require a small time commitment.
A three year term is recommended. Membership can be renewed if there is mutual agreement. An Advisory Committee consists of the program instructor, a CTC support, placement, and/or counseling staff member, and a minimum of six additional members.
The program instructor and one advisory committee member representing the business community serve as committee co-chairs. The instructor is responsible for scheduling the meetings, setting the agenda, notifying committee members, and assuring that meeting minutes are taken and distributed to members. The co-chair representing the business community verifies the processes, approves meeting minutes, and assists with generating new membership.
