Career Camp

June 14 – 18, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM $50
Open to current 6th-8th grade students  

Exciting things happen at Career Camp like cooking in a professional kitchen, launching your hand-made bottle rocket, or designing a robot. Students will choose five classes from a wide variety of options and experience a new career each day.

Bus transportation from the local middle schools to CTC and back is offered for an additional $20.00 for Career Camp students only.

Career Camp (Extended Day) $149
June 21 – 25  9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Open to current 8-9 grade students: Gone Boarding,
Open to current 7-9 grade students: Trailblazers/Pathfinders

In this weeklong extended-day Career Camp students may choose from three class offerings - Gone Boarding, Trailblazers, and Pathfinders. Gone Boarding students work with engineers, graphic designers, printing, and marketing professionals to design and build a longboard that they can keep. On the last day, we’ll take the finished boards out for a test ride. In Trailblazers (girls only) and Pathfinders (boys only), students discover careers in the outdoor and active industries while they kayak, hike, bike, and climb with outdoor industry mentors leaving class with new skills and an action plan for pursuing a career.


July 12 – 23, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Friday July 23rd 8:30am-11:30am)
Open to current 9th-12th grade students  

Experience the business world and help solve a problem that has been stumping local company partners in this two-week program. You’ll collaborate with other students from across our area to find a solution to a real-world business problem using our Design Thinking Process. You can explore different careers, develop 21st Century Skills, and compete to win scholarship money!  Transportation only provided from Careerline Tech Center to your business location on Day One. Students are then responsible for their transportation to their business location each day.  

$50 includes lunch and snacks both weeks


July 26 - 29,  9:00 AM-3:00 PM , July 30,  9:00-11:30 AM 
Open to current 6th-8th grade students

Spend a week in a local business and get a peek into the business world. While you explore future career options, you’ll also work with a team to solve a real-world challenge the business faces. Be a part of their solution and learn more about yourself and your career interests. 

Participating students will: 

  • Network with local businesses 
  • Solve a real-world challenge while working with a local business 
  • Engage in Design Thinking 
  • Boost communication, collaboration, and critical thinking abilities 
  • Explore future career options 
  • Gain a deeper understanding of strengths and career interests 

$50 includes lunch M-Th, snacks, and transportation from Careerline Tech Center to your business location


June 28-July 1, 2021, 9-12 a.m.  
Open to current K-5th grade students  

Join us for an exciting week of working on problem-solving skills with community partners. As a part of this program, you will: 

  • Work as a team to investigate, brainstorm, and create a solution to a challenge 
  • Work with local businesses and business experts  
  • Present to a panel for feedback on your idea 

IChallengeUjr is a four-day program that gives students the opportunity to work with local community partners to create a solution to a design challenge. At the end of the program, students will present their solution to a panel for feedback.
