PMT (Property Maintenance Technician)
The Property Maintenance Technician program provides hands-on training to inspect, maintain and repair a building's systems. These skills prepare students to maintain a variety of commercial workplace settings including apartment buildings.
Repair and Maintenance Skills You Will Learn:

- HVAC systems
- Interior and exterior maintenance and repair.
Members of the Property Management Association of West Michigan (PMAWM) receive a $50 discount off the program cost.
Certification: Optional Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT)
CAMT (Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technician) Certification testing is available after completion of the training. A high school diploma is recommended but not required. Must provide proof of passing a background check.

Appliance Maintenance & Repair

Heating and Air Conditioning Systems Maintenance & Repair

In this portion of the PMT program, students learn:

- Air distribution

- Refrigerants and their special properties

Plumbing Maintenance & Repair

- Plumbing basics and terms

- Water heaters
Interior and Exterior Maintenance & Repair
Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30 -- 9:30 PM

Description:
The part of the program teaches maintenance and repair of:
- Caulking
- Ceilings and walls
- Locks
- Tile
- Curb appeal
- Swimming pool area safety
- Inspections of building exteriors
608 Refrigerant Recovery Certification Preparation
Dates: 5/20/2025 to 5/27/2025
Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Cost: $165 (Covers Tuition & Exam)

Prerequisite: Previous HVAC or PMT training required, or at least two years in the HVAC industry (must have verification letter from employer).
Description:
Prepare to take the Refrigerant Recovery Certification exam required by Section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act in this course.
