Parents/Students

futurePREP'd programs offer a set of unique experiences for K-12th-grade students to learn about their interests, passions and local companies.

Click on a program heading below to learn more about how to get involved.

futurePREP'd Academy

futurePREP'd Academy is an after-school opportunity for students in high school  to work with Master Teachers from across Ottawa Area Intermediate School District (OAISD) and Ottawa Area corporations and organizations to learn about the myriad of opportunities that surround them and how this could fit into potential careers and post-secondary programs of study.

IChallengeU (9th-12th Grade)

IChallengeU is an intense, two-week summer educational opportunity for students in grades 9 - 12 to work with Master Teachers from across Ottawa Area Intermediate School District (OAISD) and Ottawa Area corporate, civic, and community leaders to develop solutions to real problems as posed by the partnering corporate, civic, and community partners. Participating students have the opportunity to experience first-hand some of the area's most innovative companies and organizations. After completion of the program, students may apply for scholarship funds.

IChallengeUth (6th-8th Grade)

Modeled after the IChallengeU program, over the course of a week in the summer students in grades 6 - 8 will work through the process of developing solutions to real-world issues that local companies/organizations are currently facing. The solutions that students develop are then presented back to leadership at the company and a panel of judges at the end of the program.

Sundae School/Second Scoop (Kindergarten-5th Grade)

Within the Sundae School program, students in Kindergarten - 5th grade will work in teams under the guidance of two master teachers from the Ottawa area to research, develop, test, and market new and unique sundae combinations for local ice cream shops.

Second Scoop involves teams that will be paired with returning educators participating in the PBL training.  A Design Challenge Project will be given to these teams from a local organization.
