Holland, MI- Jacob Grover, Spring Lake High School junior and Careerline Tech Center (CTC) Plumbing and Water Systems student and Benjamin DeVries, CTC Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanics student and homeschooled senior, took first place awards in the 2019 SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference held April 5 – 7 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids.
Holland, MI- Zoe Knoper, a Careerline Tech Center (CTC) Software and Game Development program student and Jenison international Academy senior, was chosen to receive a 2019 Breaking Traditions Merit Award from the Michigan Department of Education.
Terms for two OAISD Board of Education members expire June 30, 2019: Jenison resident Dr. Dick Cooley and Hamilton resident Ron Eding. Ron Eding has announced he is seeking reelection. OAISD board member terms are six years.
Holland, MI- Coopersville junior and Careerline Tech Center Dental Careers student Katelynn Fritz won first place in Dental Science at the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) State Leadership Conference in Grand Rapids March 21-22.
Holland, MI- Heidi Householder, human resources representative for Ottawa Area ISD and a 29-year employee, has been named the 2019 Outstanding Human Resources Support Staff Person of the Year by the Michigan Association of School Personnel Administrators (MASPA). The award recognizes an individual who has significantly impacted and provided outstanding support for the HR department.
