Holland, MI - A 26-year partnership between the Careerline Tech Center (CTC) Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanics (HEM) program and Michigan CAT, a Grand Rapids-based heavy equipment dealer and service provider, connects students to real-world job skills, mentors, learning opportunities and potential careers at CAT after graduation.
Holland, MI- Students and instructors in the Agriculture and Animal Science and Culinary Arts programs at Careerline Tech Center (CTC) donate Thanksgiving food baskets to Tech students and their families in need to ensure all students can enjoy a homemade Thanksgiving meal. While creating these baskets, students build upon classroom skills and help others at the same time.
Holland, MI-Careerline Tech Center Agriculture and Animal Science teams earned first and second place at the State of Michigan Future Farmers of America (FFA) Broiler Contest Friday, November 2 at Michigan State University in East Lansing.
OTTAWA CO – Based on preliminary election results, voters in the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District (OAISD) service region today approved a 0.9 mill, 10-year regional enhancement millage that will provide member public schools with approximately $11.2 million, or $226 per student in the first year.
Holland, MI- Through a state of Michigan Special Programs grant, Thompson Michigan Technical Education Center (M-TEC) in Holland, a service of Ottawa Area Intermediate School District (OAISD), is offering free welding, computer numerical control (CNC) and certified nursing assistant (CNA) classes to qualifying individuals currently enrolled in General Educational Development (GED) classes in partnership with Zeeland Adult Education.
Holland, MI- Over 40 students in the Careerline Tech Center Public Safety and Security Services (PSSS) program visited the E.C. Brooks Correctional Facility in Muskegon on September 27 to accept a donation of over $1,200 from inmates and prison staff for the PSSS Scholarship Fund available to PSSS alumni.
Ottawa County, MI- Grand Haven Area Community Foundation (GHACF) recently awarded Ottawa Area ISD a $35,000 grant from the Greatest Needs Fund of the GHACF for the creation of video stories to support the Ottawa Area School’s Doing More. Together. (DMT) partnership program.
Holland, MI- Kristen Donnelly, a recent Careerline Tech Center Graphic Design program student and Zeeland East High School alum, beat more than 3,500 entries to take seventh place in the 2018 Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Auxiliary Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest National Competition July 21-25 in Kansas City, Missouri.
