Title IX and Non-Discrimination

Purpose

OAISD is committed to a respectful, safe environment free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation based on legally protected characteristics. This applies to all employees, students, applicants, volunteers, contractors, and visitors in all District settings.

Non-Discrimination

Discrimination or harassment based on race, color, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, age, disability, religion, marital status, height, weight, or other protected classes is prohibited. This includes unwelcome sexual advances, offensive jokes, threats, physical assaults, and retaliation.

Reporting

Anyone experiencing or witnessing prohibited conduct should report it promptly to any trusted staff member, administrator, Title IX Coordinator, Human Resources, or District Ombudsman. Employees are mandatory reporters. Anonymous reports are accepted but may limit investigations.
