Assistive Technology Resources
Assistive Technology (AT) includes any product or piece of equipment that is used to promote greater independence for people with disabilities by enabling them to perform tasks that they were formerly unable to accomplish, or had great difficulty accomplishing.
AT is frequently matched closely with an individual student’s needs and abilities. Assistive Technology Recourses (ATR) are coordinated by professional staff from the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District.
More information on Assistive Technology can be found at OAISD AT Resources Wiki.
What is Universal Design for Learning?
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an educational approach to teaching, learning, and assessment, in which flexible strategies and tools are embedded into the curriculum during the planning process. Learning environments in which students can have access to a variety of learning solutions provide instant, seamless access and support across the curriculum for all students.

Social bookmarking is a way for people to save and share their favorite webpages online. By using social bookmarking online, people can access their favorite bookmarks from any computer. Bookmarks are usually stored with tags, single words that describe a page (similar to the tab on your paper folder in the file cabinet), making it easy to earch for similar bookmarks or find bookmarks that have been saved. Any site can have more than one tag which helps you to refine your filing system. For example, Early Childhood will take you to anything appropriate for that age/ability group. Choosing any tag in the Related Tag list to the right of the screen will refine your search. You do not need a Delicious account to use these bookmarks, Enjoy!
