OAISD Power Expectations

During the 2006-07 school year, the Ottawa Area ISD's Instructional Services Department was asked by a cross-functional Secondary Redesign Committee to identify Power Expectations in all defined courses within the Michigan Merit Curriculum.  This team included representation from the ranks of high school principals, curriculum directors and special education directors from member school districts.

In addition, this group requested the creation of an online item bank (since named the Electronic Learning Assessment Resource or ELAR) for the purpose of providing assessment items aligned to the OAISD Power Expectations.

The process used to complete this work is highlighted in the following diagram.
