The Secondary Redesign Network is focused on helping high school educators and administrators with resources to positively address challenges affecting secondary education as well as access recent information to comply with Michigan Department of Education guidelines.
To date, the network has focused efforts on identifying and addressing specific challenges within three targeted areas:
- OAISD Power Expectations for courses defined within the Michigan Merit Curriculum (

- Power Expectations ELAR Item Bank resource to support classroom assessment of OAISD Power Expectations
- Intervention Strategies to support struggling students
- Personal Curriculum guidance
This portal is a collaborative product of a Secondary Redesign subcommittee of three OAISD Affiliate Groups (High School Principals, Curriculum Directors, and Special Education Directors). The goal of the subcommittee is to support regional collaboration in meeting the requirements of the Michigan Merit Curriculum and the Michigan High School Graduation Requirements.
