STUDENT WINS GRAND CHAMPION AWARD AT 4-H COMPETITION DURING SUMMER LEARNING

Holland, MI-Ottawa Area Intermediate School District's (OAISD) Careerline Tech Center (CTC) Agricultural and Animal Science student Lauren Zeinstra won Grand Champion in Market Class with her feeder calf at the Ottawa County Fair 4-H/FFA competition Monday, July 23-28 in Holland.

CAREERLINE TECH RECEIVES THREE AGRICULTURAL STATE VERIFICATIONS

Holland, MI- The Careerline Tech Center Agriculture and Animal Science program will begin a new school year with three new verifications from the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP) that recognize their high level of commitment to agricultural stewardship and protecting the environment.

SCHOOLS RECEIVE FEDERAL DOLLARS TO SUPPORT HOMELESS STUDENTS THROUGHOUT REGION

Ottawa and Allegan Counties, MI- According to the Michigan Student Data System’s 20016-17 school year data, over 1,000 K-12 students within the Ottawa Area ISD (OAISD) service region are considered homeless, a situation that is a significant barrier to academic success.

CAREERLINE TECH CENTER STUDENTS PLACE IN TOP TEN IN NATIONAL HEALTH CAREERS COMPETITION

Holland, MI- Two students in the Dental Careers program at Careerline Tech Center (CTC) Dental Careers students placed in the top ten at the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) International Leadership Conference at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas June 27-30.

CAREERLINE TECH STUDENT WINS NATIONAL DIESEL EQUIPMENT TECHNOLOGY COMPETITION

Former CTC student and SkillsUSA World team member mentored Graveling.

 

Holland, MI-Careerline Tech Center Diesel/Heavy Mechanics program student and recent Unity Christian High School graduate Nate Graveling placed first in the nation in the Diesel Equipment Technology competition at the 2018 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference June 29, in Louisville, Kentucky.

THOMPSON M-TEC TO OFFER LIMITED NUMBER OF CNA CLASSES AT 70% DISCOUNT

Holland, MI- Thompson Michigan Technical Education Center (M-TEC) in Holland, a service of Ottawa Area Intermediate School District, is offering 90-hour Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) classes to qualifying individuals for only $300 including the State of Michigan CNA certification test.

OAISD RECEIVES INTERNATIONAL AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN FINANCIAL REPORTING

Holland, MI- The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) recently awarded Ottawa Area Intermediate School District with the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ended 2017.
