Holland, MI- The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) recently awarded Ottawa Area Intermediate School District with the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ended 2017.
Holland, MI- Careerline Tech Center (CTC) students in the Pastry Arts and Baking and Culinary Arts programs attended a luncheon in their honor April 30 at the Herman Miller Marigold Lodge facility to learn about the variety of career opportunities available to them in the hospitality field and celebrate their wins in the Tabletop Design and Knowledge Bowl categories at the Michigan ProStart Competition hosted by the Michigan Restaurant Association Educational Support Foundation in Lansing on March 18 and 19.

Holland, MI- Careerline Tech Center Graphic Design student and Zeeland East High School senior Kristin Donnelly’s entry titled Thank You for Your Service was named Best in State Friday, May 4 by Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Auxiliary. Her winning piece will represent the state of Michigan at the VFW Auxiliary Young American Creative Patriotic Art National Competition July 21-25 in Kansas City, Missouri where she will be eligible for national awards totaling $21,000.
Holland, MI- Heather Truong, Careerline Tech Center Graphic Design program student and Zeeland East High School senior, received a $500 scholarship to Muskegon Community College (MCC) Friday, April 13 for designing the winning logo in the MCC Graphics Lab Logo Contest.
Holland, MI- Three students in the Dental Careers program at Careerline Tech Center (CTC) Dental Careers students qualified for the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) National Leadership Conference at the HOSA State Leadership Conference in Grand Rapids March 22 at the Amway Grand Plaza.
Holland, MI- The Michigan Council for Exceptional Children (MCEC) will present Ottawa Area Center parent and Holland resident Ried Meyer with the 2018 MCEC Exceptional Parent award during its annual conference on Thursday, March 1 at the Amway Grand in Grand Rapids, MI
Holland, MI-On January 29, the Michigan Department of Education presented a Career and Technical Education Program Excellence in Practice Award in the CTE Outstanding Program category to instructors from the Careerline Tech Center’s (CTC) Public Safety and Security Services program at the 2018 Michigan Career Education Conference in Grand Rapids.
Holland, MI - January is School Board Recognition Month, and Ottawa Area Intermediate School District, along with 541 local and 56 intermediate school districts across the state, recognizes and thanks these civic volunteers for their continued commitment to public education.
