OAISD Press Room

Welcome to the Press Room for the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District. Within this site, you'll be able to search through our news releases, upcoming events, videos, photos, recent press coverage stories and other basic information to give you a closer look into the OAISD.

We provide general education, career/technical education, and special education services to all K-12 public school districts, public school academies and non-public schools in Ottawa County, as well as two K-12 public school districts in Allegan County. The OAISD also operates programs in the buildings listed below.

Career/Technical Education

The Communications Department is available to answer any questions you may have at 1-877-702-8600. 

• Careerline Tech Center - serves high school junior and seniors, providing career training/certification and possible early college credit.
• Thompson M-TEC - serves adults, providing career training, certification, and development.

Special Needs Education

The Communications Department is available to answer any questions you may have at 1-877-702-8600.

• Ottawa Area Center - serves the unique educational needs of individuals with cognitive impairments.
• Community Based Instruction Programs - serves special needs students ages 18 to 26 who have completed a high school special education program or who need a different focus of education than can be taught within the Ottawa Area Center facility.
• Juvenile Justice Institute - serves adjudicated youth who have a long and/or involved history with the Ottawa County Family Court.
• Juvenile Services Center Education Program - serves as an transitional bridge from the Ottawa County Juvenile Services Center to the student's Ottawa County School District.
• Sheldon Pines School - serves severely emotionally impaired students.
