Online open enrollment programs designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional level positions for many in-demand occupations, including the Pharmacy Technician Program.

This nationally recognized Pharmacy Technician online course and training program teaches the skills needed to gain employment as a Pharmacy Tech in either the hospital or retail setting. The objective of the Pharmacy Technician Program is to provide graduates with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to qualify for entry-level positions in pharmacies as well as prepare for national certification. This program pairs students with an instructor for one-on-one assistance and includes a forty-hour externship. All materials are included.

The Pharmacy Technical program was design by a team of professionals, who work to provide the most effective web-based learning experience available today. Instructors/mentors are actively involved in your online learning experience. They respond to any questions or concerns, as well as encouraging and motivating you to succeed.

The program includes a set of lessons and evaluations; grades are a combination of the instructor/mentor's evaluation of students' work and computer graded tests. We know you'll appreciate the quality as well as the convenience of anytime, anywhere learning!

NEW Walgreens Pharmacy Externship with Gatlin Education Services!

Gatlin Education Services has reached a nationwide agreement with Walgreens Pharmacy that will give our Pharmacy Technician students an important leg up in the job market. Walgreens will offer its renowned externship program to students taking Gatlin's Pharmacy Technician online career training program provided basic qualifications are met.

Walgreens will supply externs with 20 to 40 hours of hands-on experience that includes assisting pharmacists with prescriptions, answering patient questions about medications and a bevy of administrative duties. Approximately ninety percent of Walgreens externs gain employment with the pharmacy chain following completion of the program.

In order to qualify for a Walgreens Externship, you will have to pass a drug screening, obtain general liability insurance, and background check/employment verification will be required. Registration for the externship program is available once a month.

*Disclaimer: An externship with Walgreens is not guaranteed. All students must apply to the program and complete the prerequisite criteria before being accepted into the program. Positions in the externship program are contingent on availability at each Walgreens location. Students are also allowed the option to set up their own externship at any other retail or hospital facility or you may complete a research assignment in lieu of completing an externship.
